My Diaryland Trading Card - Saturday, Nov. 02, 2002

People have visited.

It wasn't supposed to be like this.

I'm 22. By this stage in my life, stuff was supposed to have fallen into place. I was supposed to have finished my degree in Chemical Engineering. I was supposed to be earning upwards of £30k a year and living in a swanky flat in Central London. Living the London lifestyle with parties filled with beautiful or interesting people (the beautiful ones don't have to be interesting. They just have to stand there and look decorative. Yes, I'm that shallow...) who adore me. And I would have the nicest place, too.

I was supposed to have a gorgeous boyfriend to fuck me blind every night. As opposed to going blind from wanking, as I think I am now (I've got the deteriorating eyesight - I just need the hairy palms and my Wanker's Doom will be complete).

But no. The carefully formulated plan, developed when I was 15, was derailed when I dropped out of university.

Now I don't have a clue.

Time to formulate a new plan.

1. Get degree in chemistry.

2. Fuck off to the States to work for some multinational company for a couple of years. Hopefully on the West Coast.

3. Live the Gay Dream. Although I'm not entirely sure what that actually is. Mine involves a group of young men in tight leather pants catering to my every whim. I tend to lose focus on what I was thinking when I get to that point. Infrastructure is not my strong point.

4. There is no four yet. I'm working on it. It may involve studying for a doctorate (because I quite like the idea of being a Dr.) but that would mean writing a thesis. Sounds a bit too much like hard work to me.

On happier news, I've managed to see the new Star Wars twice now. My inner geek is weeping with joy.
