Keep Calm and Carry On

Two entries in one day! The cup runneth over, clearly.

I've beaten a hasty retreat to the study.

My parents are drunk. So, to avoid the embarrassing sex talk, I fled.

Apart from that - they've taken it into their heads to tell me how proud they are of me. Which, always nice to hear, but why does it only get said after four bottles of wine apiece and a huge dinner from a chinese restaurant in the West End?

I'm not asking for much, really. Just the occasional (sober) nod to the fact that I'm finally doing something worthwhile with my life. Without having the fact that I dropped out of university four years ago being thrown in my face.

Oh - and apparently it's still OK with them that I'm gay.

So that's a bonus, I suppose.
