My Diaryland Trading Card - Saturday, Nov. 02, 2002

People have visited.

It's weird how the days fly past.

And in all this time, I still haven't updated.

I am a bad bad man.

So, depending on how my stream of consciousness goes, I may do a monster update. Alternatively, I'll get halfway through and get bored and finish with some lame excuse like 'Sorry, got to go - extra terrestrials have just invaded my microwave. I'm going to cover them in tinfoil and nuke the fuckers...'

And you will all smile and nod - then back away from the crazy person.

In fact, I can see some of you doing that now. Stop it! I'm not really rabid! The foam is just from too much alcohol.

So what has been happening with me, I hear you cry? Hmmmmm.

Well, I told you about breaking my wrist. That seems to have set up a chain reaction of clumsiness in my life. I now have the bad habit of knocking things off tables or any other surface. And the worst thing... With my arm in a cast - I can't catch the things I knock down! Though I am reliably informed that my efforts to do so are hilarious, and normally make up for the expense of whatever I've just smashed.

So yay for the comic relief, I suppose.

Cast comes off on 10th January, which is a good thing. It's made of this sort of plastic-y bandage stuff, that gets very hot. And I'm not allowed to wash it. So at the moment my hand smells of old sweat. Did anyone play hockey at school where you had to use the school's sticks? Remember how your hands smelt afterwards? Yeah - like that.

For those people who never played hockey, think of any racquet type sports where you used communal equipment. And be grateful you never played hockey. It's lethal.

I think by the 10th my arm is really going to be humming. I can't wait.

I have exams when I go back to uni. In a scary way, I'm looking forward to them. I've done quite well in my written work so far, so they should be fine.

Stop laughing! It's true! I think...

Anyhoo - the cat was just sick on the floor so I'm going to have to go and clear it up.

(Wow. That was so bad...)
