Keep Calm and Carry On

What a week!

I had my first practicals this week - so I now have a lovely pristine white lab coat. I haven't yet succumbed to filling the breast pocket with pens yet, though. My inner geek desperately wanted to, but I was strong.

Word of advice though - try not to spill concentrated nitric acid on your thumb. It is not good.

The skin turned yellow then sloughed off. How very pleasing - I don't think.

But apart from that minor mishap, everything is going swimmingly.

Except that I've been set an essay to write. An essay when I'm studying chemistry. It's not right. I chose science so I never had to write another damned essay.

Trust me to choose that module.

Weird thing I learnt from my forensic chemistry class - did you know that glass is actually a very slow moving liquid? It's true. So you can judge how long it has been since a pice of glass was smashed, because the edges grow less sharp over time, as they are reabsorbed. Cool huh?

Anyway - I have some chemical equations to balance and I haven't a clue what I'm doing. So I shall leave you now.
