My Diaryland Trading Card - Saturday, Nov. 02, 2002

People have visited.

Have I mentioned recently how good to me my parents are? No? Well, it was supposed to be a sort of underpinning to all of my diary entries, but that appears to have failed miserably. So I'll be obvious about it.

My parents spoil me rotten and I adore them!

Even if my dad does piss me off a lot of the time.

The most recent burst of spoiling comes because they are pleased (make that fucking ecstatic) that I am returning to university. Three years after dropping out.

So they bought me a laptop. A laptop! It cost them about a grand, and it's all mine. Mine, I tell you! Muahahahahaha.

Ahem.

So, for the technical minded among you, it's a Sony Vaio PCG-FX301. 800Mhz Mobile AMD Duron processor, 10GB hard disk and 128 MB RAM. Oh, and a built in modem and DVD drive.

Now, I'm not sure what all that means, but it sounds sweeeeeet.

Went to a work do last night. We had a ton of cash because our centre had improved over the last quarter. So what was organised? Disco and karaoke. Yup. Karaoke. Just imagine the horror.

Needless to say I got hideously drunk and sang my little heart out.

First song was "Hopelessly Devoted to You".

And while you recover from laughter at that, I have to tell you - the next selection was not mine, but my friend Hannah's.

We did a duet of "Especially For you." Kylie and Jason, eat your hearts out!

Anyway - I shall leave you now to find some more painkillers. I thought the headache had gone, but it has just leapt upon me again. Much like a really unwelcome stray.
