Without PC for three days! The horror! I was just calmly using the PC on Saturday, when the monitor cut out. I switched it off, then back on again. It made a weird buzzing noise and looked like a picture was trying to form. Then I started to smell burning. I thought it wise to switch the whole thing off and unplug it at the wall at that point. We tried to get a new monitor Sunday, but the shop people were absolutely useless. No surprise. I'm currently using the piddling little monitor we've had to borrow from my brother. Not fun. I need my internet like a drug. Not just for porn, people.
